Much of the film’s indoor scenes were shot at Cinespace Film Studios in Toronto, Ontario. The initial intend to begin shooting on 11 March 2020 was put on hold but two days after due to the pandemic. Whatever the setback was, the environment gave the production team the control to recreate major events in Claressa’s life.

FirstOntario Centre, Hamilton, Ontario
The FirstOntario Centre in Hamilton was transformed into the Olympic boxing venue for the film. This location was extremely useful when it comes to the recreation of the energy and feel of the 2012 Summer Olympics.
Speaking about the location, Racheal Morrison shares, “The FirstOntario Centre gave us the flexibility to truly bring the Olympic stage to life. It was like stepping into Claressa’s world.”
