Invalidovna, Prague, Czech Republic
One of the Praguian highlights was however the Invalidovna complex which is national heritage and was built in baroque style. The haunting splendor of the ruins of this building was well suitable for a number of the more eerie and brooding passages in Nosferatu.
“The haunting beauty of Invalidovna added a sense of decay to the film,” Eggers explained. “It was a reminder that while the world of Nosferatu may be beautiful, it is also crumbling under the weight of its dark forces.”
