Never Blink (2025) Filming Locations – Where Was The Horror Movie Shot?

-

A horrorthriller NEVER BLINK (2025), directed by Christopher Saint Booth and Philip Adrian Booth, takes viewers into a chilling world where the simple act of blinking opens doors to terrifying dimensions.

The plot revolves around five medical students who make a horrifying discovery—when we blink, our minds slip into unseen dimensions. What they capture on film during these moments is beyond comprehension.

The film stars Brandi Botkin as Nurse Julie Greer, Tatjana Marjanovic as Dr. Kessi Aaron, Marcus Jean Pirae as Dr. Peter Conrad, Havon Baraka as Paulo, Brandon Pitts as Frank, Travis Hancock as Joe (test subject), Ernest Emmanuel Peeples as Leon—and Jasmine Wang as Trista.

The story of the movie is steeped in supernatural horror and cosmic fear, but the real-life locations where it was shot are what really make NEVER BLINK so immersive. Many scenes of the movie were shot on real haunted places, which added to its intense realism and creepy tone.

WHERE WAS “NEVER BLINK” FILMED?

NEVER BLINK was filmed in March 2021 across multiple sites in Ohio and Indiana, USA. The Booth Brothers, known for their dedication to creating atmospheric horror without CGI or AI, chose real haunted locations to reflect the film’s unnerving themes.

COLLINGWOOD ARTS CENTER – TOLEDO, OHIO

The Collingwood Arts Center in Toledo, Ohio, was a major place where scenes from NEVER BLINK were filmed. This historic site, which used to be a convent and boarding school, is famous among paranormal investigators for the ghosts that have been seen there. It was the perfect place to bring the “in-between” world to life, with its long hallways, creaky stairs, and spooky atmosphere. According to behind-the-scenes posts on Instagram, this haunted site wasn’t just set dressing; the cast reported genuinely spooky experiences on set.

Located in the historic Old West End district of Toledo, the Collingwood Arts Center can be visited by those interested in both the arts and the paranormal. Check out local performances, explore the Gothic Revival architecture, or book a tour—many claim to have seen spirits wandering the halls. The Collingwood Arts Center has been featured in numerous paranormal investigation shows and indie horror films Such as Shelved (2016).

LIBERTY TOWNSHIP SCHOOL – OHIO CITY, OHIO

Another central location was the Liberty Township School in Ohio City, Ohio. This now-abandoned school added a haunting sense of isolation to the scenes it featured in. This location was nicknamed “The InBetween World” by the crew due to its ghostly atmosphere. Ohio City is a small village in northwest Ohio, and the school is located off the main road.
While not open to the public, the town itself is filled with Midwestern charm and local history.

RANDOLPH COUNTY ASYLUM – WINCHESTER, INDIANA

The Randolph County Asylum was another standout location. The first asylum in Randolph County was built in 1851. Known for its history of housing the mentally ill and destitute, its dark history seeps into every corridor.

The building’s decayed walls, creaking floors, and shadowy corridors were used extensively during scenes where the characters explore forbidden scientific theories about the human brain and unseen dimensions. A short drive from the town center, the asylum is accessible by scheduled ghost tours and paranormal events. Visitors can book overnight stays or attend guided investigations—if they dare. The asylum is a favorite among ghost hunters and has been filmed for reality TV and indie horror productions like The Attached (2023.)

GENERAL ASAHEL STONE MANSION – WINCHESTER, INDIANA

Also in Winchester, Indiana, the General Asahel Stone Mansion brought Victorian elegance and underlying dread to NEVER BLINK. The mansion, built in 1872, is renowned for its ornate interiors and, reportedly, its ghostly inhabitants.

Located in 201 W Orange St, Winchester, IN 47394, this historic house is accessible for private tours. Architecture lovers and paranormal enthusiasts often tour the mansion, especially during October. The mansion has been featured in several ghost documentaries.

DETROIT

Detroit also played a minor role in the film’s production, where several makeup and effects shots were completed. According to makeup artist Matt Goodlett, filming days were long but worth the effort, especially given the film’s practical effects approach. The team avoided CGI or AI, staying true to the 1980s horror influence.

According to posts by makeup artist Matt Goodlett, parts of the film were also shot just outside of Detroit, contributing to the atmospheric mix of Midwest urban decay and historic architecture.

A LOOK BEHIND THE SCENES

On social media, Brandi Botkin shared her gratitude after wrapping the film, while Christopher Saint Booth and Philip Adrian Booth regularly posted updates on sound design, immersive audio, and editing. The Booth brothers emphasized that NO AI or CGI was used—everything was done practically to capture that raw 1980s-style horror, inspired by The Thing, The Fly, and Scanners.

The film’s production wrapped in 2021, with immersive post-production continuing into 2023. The final touches included Dolby Atmos sound design, Foley, color grading, and title sequences handled in-house by the Booth brothers’ production company, TwinTalk Entertainment.
