FANSHAWE CONSERVATION AREA
The Fanshawe Conservation Area, which is at 1424 Clarke Road, London — was used for a lot of filming. This beautiful area is 3,000 acres and goes all the way around Fanshawe Lake. There are hiking and biking trails, campsites—and water activities like fishing and kayaking in the natural landscape. Its remote, wooded areas were perfect for filming tense scenes.
The filmmakers were able to use wide shots and forest scenes because the conservation area is very large. This gave the movie a cinematic edge that is hard to achieve in more urban settings.
VILLAGE PANTRY RESTAURANT
Another recognizable filming spot is the Village Pantry Restaurant, located at 2473 Main Street in the Lambeth neighborhood of London. Scenes early in the movie took place in this cozy diner, mostly ones that took place at Chelsea’s sister’s workplace.
Since 1979, the restaurant has been a part of the community. It is known for its cozy atmosphere and hearty breakfast menu. Its real-life charm helped the movie feel more real by setting the drama in a place that people could recognize or relate to.

London has both city and suburban settings, low filming costs, and a lot of skilled Canadian production workers. It is a popular place to film for both Canadian and international projects because of its natural beauty, rich architectural history—and easy access to infrastructure.
