Happy Howlidays Movie Plot
Happy Howlidays is about a young woman named Mia Park (Jessica Lowndes) who has moved to Seattle to start over. Mia has been avoiding the city, her coworkers and even the holiday spirit because she is having a hard time getting used to her new life. She gets a big surprise when she saves a stray dog that is stuck in a fence during a storm. She felt bad letting the dog stay the night, but now she’s in over her head as a first-time pet owner.
To get help, Mia takes the dog to Puptown, a nearby shelter run by Max Covington (Ezra Moreland) and his sister Penny (Cassandra Sawtell). Max has always loved dogs, but he won’t take the dog because the shelter is already too full. Because she has no other choice, Mia takes in the dog and names him Russell.
As luck would have it, Russell can’t stay away from Max’s dog, Jules. Because they both have dogs, Mia and Max have to talk to each other. At first, it’s awkward but it turns into a sweet friendship. But things get complicated when Max’s ex-girlfriend shows up with her dog, which causes tension. At the same time, Mia’s parents surprise her with a visit, which forces her to face her past. Mia and Max have to work out their differences and decide if they’re ready to take a chance on love during the holiday chaos.
