A new thriller called BRICK will be available on Netflix on July 10, 2025. Brick is a suspenseful movie written and directed by Philip Koch about a couple whose apartment building is mysteriously surrounded by a huge brick wall that can’t be broken through. With no explanation and no apparent way out, the trapped residents must work together to uncover the truth and survive their growing desperation.
The thriller reunites Matthias Schweighöfer and Ruby O. Fee, who previously starred together in Army of Thieves. The supporting cast includes Frederick Lau, Murathan Muslu, Josef Berousek, Salber Lee Williams, Alexander Beyer, Axel Werner, and Sira-Anna Faal.
WHERE WAS BRICK (2025) FILMED?
Brick was filmed entirely in the Czech Republic, with Prague serving as the production’s main location. The filming took place between January and March 2024, over a period of approximately 37 days. The majority of the shoot occurred at Barrandov Studios, a historic and expansive production facility located in the Czech capital.

In Europe, Barrandov Studio is one of the biggest and best-equipped places to make movies. The studio has modern sound stages, professional crews—and good incentives for filming. Because of these pros, it was a good choice for Brick, a complicated thriller that relies on a tight, detailed setting.
The production team built detailed indoor sets in the studio because most of the movie takes place in a—single apartment building. This made it possible to have fine control over the sound, lights, and effects. Visual effects created on-site by skilled professionals added to the setting’s realism.
Brick takes place in a strange and confined world on screen but its production was based on the technical skills of Barrandov Studio. This confirms Prague’s growing reputation as a center for Netflix thrillers.
