Bachelor in Paradise came back with a new twist for its tenth season, which started on July 7, 2025. This tropical reality dating show, which is hosted by Jesse Palmer again, continues the tradition of giving former Bachelor and Bachelorette contestants a second chance at love. But Season 10 stood out for a few reasons. First, it had contestants from both The Golden Bachelor and The Golden Bachelorette. Second, it filmed in a different place than the previous seasons.
WHERE WAS BACHELOR IN PARADISE SEASON 10 FILMED?
After years of filming in Mexico, Season 10 of Bachelor in Paradise moved south to Costa Rica’s beautiful Guanacaste Province. The main filming is thought to have happened in May 2025. The lush landscape of Central America was a big part of making the mood more romantic and high-class.
GUANACASTE PROVINCE, COSTA RICA
The 10th season was filmed in Playa Sámara, which is on the Nicoya Peninsula in the Pacific Ocean-side province of Guanacaste. The area is a popular spot for ecotourism because of its beautiful beaches and peaceful atmosphere. It would be a great place for a romantic reality show. The calm ocean waves, palm-lined beaches, and wide range of plants and animals in Guanacaste made it a paradise that befitted this famous series.
AZURA BEACH RESORT, PLAYA SÁMARA

The production set up camp at the Azura Beach Resort, nestled about 3 km from downtown Sámara. This all-inclusive beach resort for adults had a tropical but high-class vibe that was different from other times of the year. The privacy and exclusivity of the location helped the cast focus on making new romantic connections, away from other people and things that could distract them.
Each contestant was housed in suites featuring private swim-out pools, sun-kissed patios, and modern tropical decor in shades of brown and white. These suites weren’t just visually pleasing — they provided privacy and comfort, allowing relationships to develop more organically in a peaceful setting.
HIGHLIGHTS OF THE LOCATION
The resort includes a private beach, offering unspoiled access to white sands and Pacific sunsets. The production opted for reclining loungers and elegant couches instead of traditional beach daybeds, elevating the show’s visual aesthetic.
A swim-up bar and poolside patio also became essential parts of the daily filming routine — both visually and for cast interactions. The show’s signature bartender Wells Adams returned, now joined by former Bachelorette Hannah Brown as co-bartender, serving cocktails while conversations and confrontations unfolded under the Costa Rican sun.
One standout feature was the VIP suite, a luxurious two-story setup that included a jacuzzi, full kitchen, and expansive balcony overlooking the Pacific. According to showrunner Scott Teti, “The cast can literally open the doors to their rooms and swim out into the pool under bridges, and then up to a beautiful bar that is touching the beach.”
LOCAL TOUCHES
Playa Sámara’s low foot traffic and small-town charm enhanced the experience. There’s even a small island offshore, surrounded by fishing boats daily, adding to the rustic authenticity of the view. The cooperation from the Azura Beach Resort staff reportedly helped the production run smoothly, with the cast and crew returning home with fond memories of the tropical shoot.
