Netflix’s popular young adult drama MY LIFE WITH THE WALTER BOYS is already planning ahead. Even before fans get to stream Season 2, the streaming platform has officially renewed the series for Season 3—and filming is about to begin.
Production for Season 3 is scheduled to take place in Calgary, Alberta, beginning August 6, 2025, and running through December 1, 2025, according to the Directors Guild of Canada. The show will use Rocky Mountain Film Studio for its soundstage work. Pre-production began on June 9 and is expected to wrap by August 5, just in time for cameras to roll.
The showrunner Melanie Halsall will continue to lead the series, which is based on the popular Wattpad novel by Ali Novak.
Season 1 introduced viewers to Jackie Howard (played by Nikki Rodriguez), a 15-year-old from Manhattan who suddenly finds herself in the small town of Silver Falls, Colorado after the tragic loss of her family. Jackie moves in with Dr. Katherine Walter (Sarah Rafferty) and her husband George (Marc Blucas)—along with their ten children. Jackie tries to keep her mind on her schoolwork, especially getting into Princeton, but her feelings get the best of her when she is torn between two Walter brothers: the thoughtful Alex (Ashby Gentry) and the moody Cole (Noah LaLonde). At the end of Season 1, Jackie left Silver Falls in a big way, leaving fans to wonder what will happen next.
Netflix has confirmed that Season 3 will come out in 2026, but Season 2 has not yet been given a release date. It is expected to come out sometime in the summer of 2025. There isn’t a set date for the premiere yet, but more information should be available soon.
Along with the main cast, Season 3 will add a number of new characters to the story.. These include Natalie Sharp as champion rodeo rider B. Hartford, Carson MacCormac as Zach, Janet Kidder as Joanne Wagner (Grace’s mom), Riele Downs as Maria, and Jake Manley as bronc rider Wyder Holt.

As filming gets underway in Alberta, excitement is building for what’s next for Jackie and the Walter family. The early renewal of Season 3 is a clear sign that Netflix believes in the series’ strong fan base and growing popularity.
